More than 1,800 kilometers of trails, more than 60 routes from "smooth and sweet" to "steep and unrelenting" classification of blue as "easy" to black as "very challenging". Starting point for your mountain bike tours can be found in 21 locations in the Harz. Between Ilsenburg and Seesen, Goslar and Bad Lauterberg are mountain bike friendly hosts that have fully adapted to the needs of mountain-bikers.

For beginners and MTB enthusiasts, there is a regular  "racing scene", such as the annual MTB Marathon Cup Braunlage.
