Winter sports in the Harz - really cool adventure
In Braunlage you will find not only the largest ski area in the Harz but also the most snow reliable ski resort in Lower Saxony. The mount Wurmberg offers 14 runs with about 13km of slopes, approximately 8km alpine runs. The mount Wurmberg has Alpine skiing and snowboarding for beginners and experts, the longest toboggan run is 1600m and great fun on the snow-tubing run. The town itself has much to offer too. Even the smaller lifts in the center of Braunlage are lit up with floodlights, about 50km of cross-country trails, guided snowshoe hikes and the only ice stadium in the Harz with live ice hockey games are an absolute attraction for the winter sport holiday makers.
